Why I'm standing
I love our city. Lower Hutt has a lot going for it, but unless we front up to the big challenges we face—Transport, housing, infrastructure and protecting our environment; then we won't reach our full potential. I'm standing because I want to tackle these issues head on.
My priorities
Tackle the growing traffic congestion problem across our city.Get back to basics. Naenae Pool, and invest in the infrastructure desperately needed across our city.Protect our environment, and do all we can to combat the inevitable effects of climate change.
Why me
Lower Hutt's my home. It's where I grew up, and it's where my wife Laura and I plan to raise our kids. I've been a city councillor for the past 6 years and have a range of public and private sector experience. Most importantly, I'm strongly grounded in my community.

Why I'm standing
Our city has gone through the biggest rejuvenation programme in the city's history. We have built many new community facilities for example Walter Nash and Huia Pool extension. I am excited about our future but there is still much to do. I have the mayoral experience needed.
My priorities
Getting Melling Interchange underway. I will press government for funding for Eastern Bays.Naenae Pool redevelopment is essential for Naenae and wider community, this pool is important.Plan for climate change while still keeping rates affordable and value for money.
Why me
My mayoralty has been about "Putting People First". I am passionate about our city and want to see every resident prosper. I am proud of what my united council has achieved for our people. Let's keep the positive momentum going. Re-elect Mayor Ray Wallace.
