East Coast Bays electorate

East Coast Bays extends from the Okura river in the north to suburbs Windsor Park and Schnapper Rock in the south, and includes Long Bay, Torbay, Browns Bay and parts of Albany. The seat is currently held by National's Erica Stanford, who won comfortably with a margin of 8,764. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in East Coast Bays – 40% to National's 38%. The seat was one of the few electorates in the country held by a minor party MP, when in 1980 Social Credit's Gary Knapp defeated National's Don Brash at a by-election.

Why I'm standing

My desire is for families to live with hope and confidence for the future. Currently it appears that an agenda is affecting everyday life like I have never seen before, and this is why I must stand. People are controlled rather than encouraged. Lies are continually told as facts and the truth ignored. The state has begun to intrude into every area of our lives and this madness must stop.

About me

With three years previous political experience, plus a 50-year multifaceted career as a real estate agent, car sales dealer and manufacturer has given me unparalleled business acumen. I've had 40 years unwavering commitment as a volunteer within East Coast Bays. Five generations of our family have lived in this locality.

My priorities
  1. Bring some common sense back into decision-making so we can progress forward faster with less cost.
  2. Actively pursue policy changes that will reduce the cost of living as families are hurting.
  3. Ensure our children are educated with core academics and not ideologies.
