Why I'm standing
My motivation stems from the fact that there is no party in our NZ parliament that represents people who hold conservative values. All are left leaning and hold to policies that undermine that basic foundations of civil society.
About me
I've lived in the Ilam electorate for 30 years and have a good understanding of local issues. My career path has included environmental science, secondary school teaching and mental health management, bringing a broad depth of experience into many of the issues that face us as a country.
My priorities
- Prioritise spending on needed infrastructure such as roads and water, not wasting money on more cycleways.
- Fund the addressing of rising crime rates e.g., ram raids and ensure 'tough love" consequences for perps.
- Ensure localism as opposed to big government. I oppose issues such as He Puapua and Three Waters.
