Why I'm standing

I stood for Parliament because I want NZ to be a decent, fair place for my kids – doing my best for them means fighting for all families to have warm dry homes, our young people to be in world class education, our workers to be paid a decent wage and an environment that we care for as kaitiaki.

About me

I live in Manurewa with my two young children and husband. I am of Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki, Ngāi Tahu and Ngāi Tūhoe. I'm a lawyer and community organiser. As a busy married mum, balancing a career and raising two kids, I know Labour will continue to deliver for families just like mine. As your local MP, I've been working hard for the last three years for our community.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for government support to make family life more affordable: childcare, transport, health, food, etc.
  2. Support Manurewa families facing challenges with housing education immigration WINZ, etc.
  3. Expand existing support for a clean healthy Puhinui Stream, and progress on other local projects.
