Why I'm standing
I am standing for parliament because I believe that The Opportunities Party has the best suite of policies to truly deliver transformative change for New Zealand. I also think we need more members of parliament who have strongly held values and principles, and who are not just there to feel important and collect a check. As an educator and a father I am driven to make a positive change in my community and all New Zealand.
About me
I am tenacious and I have always stood up for the underdog. I have very strongly held beliefs and I stick to my principles. In my career of community advocacy for cannabis law reform, I stuck up (and continue to stand up) for my constituents against the odds for over 20 years. I don't give up until I achieve the desired outcome and I would do the same for any North Shore constituent.
My priorities
- 30-year infrastructure plan to improve economic efficiency with major projects, eg Harbour Crossing.
- Rebalance tax towards productive investment and away from land-banking through a Tax Switch.
- Reducing alcohol harm and controlling cannabis through a common legislative framework.
