Why I'm standing

Aotearoa New Zealand holds immense promise and potential, yet we struggle with issues of governance, economics, housing, infrastructure, environmental conservation, individual human rights, and social issues. Our treatment of animals is intricately connected to all of these concerns. I believe that animals possess individual rights, just as humans do, to live free from undue exploitation. In recognising our inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, we must extend these principles to non-human animals.

About me

I bring a diverse professional, vocational, and experiential background to this role, backed by more than 15 years living in Wellington. My unwavering belief in the inalienable rights of all individuals, human and non-human, is guided by principles and integrity. What distinguishes me is my no-nonsense approach, based in reality, driven by pragmatism, and guided by idealism; leveraging transparency, authenticity, and a dedication to upholding principles and maintaining integrity.

My priorities
  1. Improve access to, and quality of housing for people, and companion animals.
  2. Create incentives for balancing private/public/active transportation for people, and companion animals.
  3. Create a plan for Rongotai's ageing infrastructure to manage costs, minimise disruption, and serve us all.
