Te Tai Hauāuru electorate

Te Tai Hauāuru is a Māori electorate currently held by Labour's Adrian Rurawhe, who won by a narrow margin of 1,035 – one of the smallest margins in the country. Rurawhe is not standing again, but remains on Labour's list and is currently serving as the Speaker of the House. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Te Tai Hauāuru – 61% to Te Pāti Māori's 15%. Te Tai Hauāuru had low turnout compared with the rest of the country with 70% of enrolled people voting.
