Why I'm standing

I want to ensure New Zealanders can live their best lives, that our children and grandchildren are proud to live in this great country. I want to advocate strongly for the provinces, to celebrate our innovation, productivity and contribution to the social fabric of NZ. I want to help get this country back on track, back to being the envy of the world, to being the overachiever and to being safe, educated and healthy.

About me

I am born and bred in Gisborne, I have wide networks and varied life experience. I am practical, solution-oriented and listen to what is really happening in people's lives. Anyone who has worked with me knows that I deliver - I get things done efficiently, and with a focus on win-win outcomes. I have been a CEO, a small business owner and a parent - all important to understand how to move this country forward.

My priorities
  1. Recover Gisborne's infrastructure and well-being which was devastated in Cyclone Gabrielle.
  2. Prioritise law and order; crime rates and the proliferation of gangs and meth use.
  3. Help the people who are struggling to pay rent, keep food on the table and pay their bills with a focus on the cost of living.
