Why I'm standing

I believe strongly in the core Labour values of running a strong productive economy for the benefit of all New Zealand's people. I'm passionate about creating a society where everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential. At this election kiwis face a stark choice between a Labour-led government which will continue to invest in solving difficult long-term issues versus a National/Act government proposing cuts to pay for tax incentives for wealthy landlords.

About me

I am from Napier, after gaining a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors I chose to raise my three kids in Napier, and I have built a successful business here from scratch. I have two decades experience working with senior leaders to get stuff done. I have worked with the CEOs and top teams of many of New Zealand's most significant organisations and understand at a strategic level the challenges they face.

My priorities
  1. Build back better post-cyclone with more resilient roads, communications and economic recovery.
  2. Ensure Napier has the right mix of services for its people in health, education and housing.
  3. Stimulate the economy in value-added manufacturing and tourism and attracting new businesses here.
