Northland electorate

Northland is currently held by Labour's Willow-Jean Prime, who won by a narrow margin of 163 – one of the smallest margins in the country. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Northland – 44% to National's 27%. Since the seat was established in 1996, it has been mainly held by National MPs, except for 2015 to 2017 when Winston Peters won the seat at a by-election, and 2020 when Labour won.

Why I'm standing

Because New Zealand needs a paradigm shift in the way we are governed – NZ Loyal's policies show this, we are the only party which supports governance from the ground up.

About me

My experience and knowledge gained as an electrician, policeman and elected roles including Palmerston North Councillor, Horowhenua District Councillor, HDC Mayor and Mid Central Health Board. I also ran a successful staff development company. I want to support NZ Loyal to bring transparency in the way policies are made.

My priorities
  1. Achieve self-governance for the district of Northland.
  2. Introduce a 1% Transaction Tax.
  3. Stop the loss of our productive land to foreign companies as a result of carbon farming.
