I believe in enabling people to live their best lives through excellent public education, sustainable health care, income support and affordable housing, access to justice, reducing inequalities and safeguarding our natural environment. I know and understand Dunedin and will advocate strongly for the interests of Dunedin.
About me
My home is Dunedin, and my connections to the city run deep and strong. I care deeply about Dunedin and its people. I have lived and worked in Dunedin nearly all my life, attending school here and graduating from the University of Otago. Prior to entering parliament in 2020 as a list MP, I worked in resource management and local government law. I understand business, the community, the environment, and good governance.
My priorities
- Continue the build of the new Dunedin Hospital, the Outpatient Services Building will open in 2025.
- Continued action on climate change – both planning for adaptation and reducing emissions.
- Review tertiary education funding to support our exceptionally important University and Polytechnic.
