Selwyn electorate

Selwyn is currently held by National's Nicola Grigg, who won comfortably with a margin of 4,968. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Selwyn – 42% to National's 34%. The seat was held by National’s first woman MP, Mary Grigg, from 1942-1943, after her husband, MP Arthur Grigg, was killed in the Second World War. The incumbent, Nicola Grigg, is the great-granddaughter of Mary and Arthur Grigg.

Why I'm standing

I want to stand for New Zealand as one of the next generation leaders whether it be as a candidate for my electorate area of Selwyn or as an MP. I want to stand with my fellow kiwis as an equal.

About me

I spent a part of my childhood in Selwyn back in the late 90s and got married in Selwyn too. I have a lot of experience in community outreach and putting on community gatherings, but what I love most is being involved with community projects. I would want to lead by example by being involved as much as I can.

My priorities
  1. Restore the nuclear family, as a father and an uncle, I always put family first.
  2. Ensure freedoms. You, your children and your grandchildren should be free to clearly voice your opinion.
  3. Respect mothers. Mothers are unique and should be cherished and honoured as the givers of life.
