Why I'm standing

The Official Information Act is failing to get answers within 21 working days and the Office of the Ombudsman is taking years or declining to investigate some matters I have raised. Members of Parliament get answers to their written questions in 14 days when parliament is sitting. As an elected independent Member of Parliament, I plan to hold the Government to account on behalf of the electorate.

About me

Having had experience using the Official Information Act for both central and local government as well as being a candidate for both, I am familiar of the procedures to hold them all accountable. As a former international passenger jet pilot, with a keen interest in health matters and natural justice, I cover a range of interests and topics that include both domestic and international matters. So being an MP enhances my abilities and effectiveness.

My priorities
  1. Use the financial system to create affordable housing.
  2. Make it financially viable to address climate change challenges.
  3. Drop GST in favour of FTT taxing the movement of money.
