Why I'm standing

We have a wonderful electorate and have received record investment in local projects and core services that I know we all rely on. I've enjoyed working with extraordinary community groups and passionate locals as your local MP over the last three years. But there's always more to do, and I know that times are tough for many. I want to build on the progress we've made and continue being your strong voice for Banks Peninsula.

About me

Before entering parliament I worked for the New Zealand Nurses Organisation, advocating for and working with our amazing nurses. I have a PhD in psychology with a research focus on dementia disorders and brain injury. I genuinely enjoy people and value all of the opportunities to listen to and learn from the people in our diverse communities.

My priorities
  1. Build community cohesion and safety.
  2. Secure and grow Jobs for Nature; championing the opportunities for regenerative tourism.
  3. Improve digital connectivity and low emission energy resilience.
